Nope.....cannot remember. I know that it is not North Howard Street 71 nor St Peters 2nd tour of 72. I only remember there being one entrance to Dunmore Pk first tour of 72. It's none of the tours after that. I see Joe Salina on right of the bottom photo of the pair whatever happended to him? Recognise the other faces but not the names (apart from Boris of course) one of whom attends the Reunion.

Cheers for that Boris. One of the memories from that tour was the amount of finds that we had daily that went on for ages. Seemed that they remembered us from the previous year for some reason and didn't want us searching their homes or being lifted!!

Boris I agree with Trev I think its Henry Taggart in the murph. The old tin hut was behind the brick built Taggert hall where sigs and HQ were dossing. The buliding in the back is the school and if I am right in the second photo the radio op looks like Phil Hannah, but hey ho I could be wrong and will probably be proved so by the wise ones on this site. As for the tour, I think it was the Internment tour and just after the riots when paddy got a bit upset about us providing some of them with free accomodation and tried to throw a petrol bomb at us and CQMS Bill Tindale MM tried to shot the SOB but his 9mm jammed. Up to the lodge round the murph and back to the field for tea, oh those were the days.

Paul,
I think it went,
"Onec Round The 'Murph, Twice Round The Turf ,And Back in For Tea"
Saw Joe Salina About 4? yrs ago at Joe Romains' Funeral,
Sadly Joe Salina Had been To The Same Crematorium a few Months Befoe when His Good wife Had Passed Away.
If The Picture is Motorman Then Trev Might Well Have Driven that Ambulance Saracen

Percy, Really sorry to hear that Joe has died; lovely guy. I think that it was Joe that managed to destroy a Danish army car in 68 when he threw a thunderflash underneath it!! Somebody wasn't happy! Paul if you are having difficulty with that newspaper clipping then you could always send it to Al via e-mail and then he will put it up for you. Ooooops....you know what i mean!!
Percy.....you are not supposed to be on here......my memory says that Sal is due home to-day and methinks that you should have dustpan and brush in your hands!

Paul
if you just want to send a piccy from your comp then when you go to "post a reply" you should see below the white box the words " Add image to post " click on that and then follow ya nose mate -- hope this helps
DTR you are naughty what with poor old Al still in mourning over his computormerbob thing going south.
Boris got to the " add image to post" thing but when I previewed it all I got was an Http address leadin back to the folder on my disk but no pic, I am starting to wonder if its the way I scanned them although I did put them in JPG formatt!!!
Will take the article into town and try and get it digitalised there and see if I can get it on the sight that way as its quite a good article.
The Guys named in the patrol are Cpl Frank Salt aged 25, L/Cpl Ginger Burrows, 29,
Pte Paddy Lucas, 22, Pte John Bell 20 and Pte Keith Spencer just in case anyone knows them.

Scratching my head here Trev....not sure where or which Tour 'cause if it's the 2nd one in '72 I got pulled out of the Company and sent to do a secret squirrel job under Maj Hamish McGregor (later Brig.).
There are faces that do seem familiar but I just can't remember the names, soon as I hear them I'll recall....so help is needed
