Sad news again, I’m afraid. Lt Col Donald Campbell died peacefully at home on his 62nd birthday having suffered from cancer for some time.
He leaves a widow Jane, two step sons and a daughter Sarah.
There will be a private family funeral and a memorial service at a later date. Donald was commissioned into the RTR in 1968 and transferred to The Parachute Regiment in 1974. He first married Erica, who tragically died when the couple were young and he later married Jane.
He commanded Depot PARA in Aldershot and retired in 1992.
RIP

R.I.P. Sir
